India has a remarkable legacy in aroma, flavours and fragrances a legacy shaped by nature, agriculture, traditional knowledge, craftsmanship, science and enterprise.
Yet the future of this sector will depend on how effectively we bring these diverse strengths together.
The Aroma Federation of India was established with this very purpose: to create a platform where industry and academia, scientists and skilled professionals, entrepreneurs and institutions, farmers and businesses can come together, exchange knowledge and build meaningful partnerships.
Our responsibility is not only to protect and promote the interests of the sector, but also to help create an environment where knowledge is shared, skills are developed, innovation is encouraged, and new opportunities are created.
AFI will strive to facilitate conferences, exhibitions, training and educational initiatives; encourage research and information exchange; strengthen cooperation with allied organisations and scientists; and provide a collective platform for dialogue on matters affecting our sector.
We also believe that the growth of the aroma industry must reach beyond the traditional centres of the sector. Empowering farmers, supporting rural communities, encouraging employment—especially for women—and promoting modern agricultural practices are important parts of building a stronger and more inclusive aroma ecosystem.
Our ambition is simple but meaningful:
